Abstract
Share price can reflect the value of a company in a stock investment. If a company's share price rises, then it may have been caused by the improved performance of the company. Oftentimes, share price is used as a benchmark for investors in making investment decisions because investors are given an overview to adjust the funds held with the stock of interest by share prices. High share price will reducing the ability of investors to buy shares, one way to do so that its share price is not overvalued is to do a share split. This study aims to determine the effect of sensitivity of inflation rate and share split on share price changes. The sample used in this study were 32 companies that listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange in 2010-2013. Samples were divided into two groups: 16 share split companies and the 16 non share split companies. Sampling technique using purposive sampling. The variables in this study are Share Price Changes (Y), Sensitivity of Inflation Rate (X1) and Share Split (X2) which uses dummy variables in the test. Analysis technique is used multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the sensitivity of inflation rate and share splits do not affect the share price changes either on share split company or not.
