Abstract
An investment refers to the commitment of funds at present, to get profit in future. There are a lot of investment alternatives available today in the financial market for an investor. However, when investing, in financial market there are money factors to emsider such as financial literacy, locus of control internal, and income. The purpose of this research is to examine the influence of financial literacy, locus of control internal, and income on the choice of investment type. This study used purposive and convenience method. There were 100 respondents who put their funds in bank account and capital market in Surabaya region. To test the hypotheses, this study explanative research analysis, multiple regression analysis, and ANOVA analysis. The results showthat financial literacy and locus of control internal have significant impact on the choice of investment type, while level of incomedo have significant impact on the choice of investment type. Key words: Financial Literacy, locus of control internal, income investor’s, and investment type.
