Abstract
Savings behavior can determine the economic growth of a country depending on the behavior of the community because of the high savings rate will encourage the level of investment as well as economic growth. The research aims to determine the influence of peers and financial knowledge of saving behavior with Locus of Control as a mediation variable. The research used primary data, by distributing questionnaires to respondents. Where sample in this research is student of Surabaya area as much as 427 respondents. Analytical techniques used are PLS-SEM with the help of WarpPLS 6.0 program. The results showed that peers had a significant effect on saving behavior. Financial knowledge directly through internal locus of control has a significant influence on saving behavior. Keywords : peers, financial knowledge, internal locus of control, saving behavior
