Abstract

Banks are financial institutions that have three activities, namely raising funds from the public in the form of deposits, channeling funds in the form of credit and providing other bank services in order to improve the living standards of the community. Any bank activity is exposed to the risk of uncertainty about an expected outcome. Factors that can affect a bank ROA among other performance aspects of liquidity, aspects of asset quality, aspects of market sensitivity, and aspects of efficiency. This research is meant to find out the influence of liquidity, asset quality, market sensitivity, and efficiency simultaneously, partially on ROA in mixed banks. The sample used in this study are three mixed banks in the first quarter of 2013 until the fourth quarter of 2017. Results from this research are variable LDR, LAR, NPL, APB, IRR, PDN, BOPO, and FBIR simultaneously have significant effect to ROA at the Joint Venture Banks, while partially variable of LDR, APB and PDN have positive effect not significant to ROA. Partially LAR, NPL and FBIR variable have no significant negative effect to ROA, for IRR variable partially significant positive and BOPO variable partially significant negative effect on ROA.
