Abstract
Chaos on the economic situation influenced by monetary instability a situation that is reflected by exchange rate, BI rate, inflation, GDP growth, and money supply. The case showed that exchange rate, BI rate, inflation, GDP growth, and money supply has a relationship with stock price index. This study attempts to identify the effect of exchange rate, inflation, BI rate, GDP growth, and money supply to stock price index LQ-45 using multiple regression analysis for 2007:Q1 – 2015:Q2 period. The result showed that there has significant effect between macroeconomic variables and stock price index LQ-45. The result also showed separately that only the exchange rate has significant negative impact on stock price index LQ-45. But the inflation, BI rate, and money supply do not have significant negative impact on stock price index LQ-45, and GDP growth has negative effect on stock price index LQ-45. The implication of the study are investor must pay attention to exchange rate because it has significant impact on the stock price index LQ-45 to get more profit.
