Abstract
This study aim to give empirical evidence about the effect of managerial ownership, institutional ownership, asset structure, and profitability on debt policy of manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia stock exchange in 2014-2016. The population of this study is manufacturing companies listed in indonesia stock exchange. This study is using secondary data from manufacturing companies financial reports. The sample technique is using purposive sampling. Based on certain criteria, there are 161 manufacturing companies that used as sample. This study is using multiple linier regression as the statistical method. The result show that managerial ownership, institutional ownership, asset structure, and profitability simultaneously has a significant effect on debt policy. Meanwhile partially, managerial ownership and asset structure does not has a significant effect on debt policy. Institutional ownership and profitability has a significant effect on debt policy.
