Abstract
in the modern era, many of these investors do not rely on rational concepts and considerations in making investments. one of the considerations that investors should take is to estimate the risks that are likely to be experienced when investing, and it will affect the investment decision making that will be done. based on the phenomenon, this study aims to determine the effect of internal locus of control, risk tolerance, and risk perceptions of investment decision making. respondents in this study is the people who live the middle of gresik which amounted to 157 people, is a worker, and has a minimum income of rp.3.500.000,- per month, with the analysis technique used multiple regression analysis. the results of this research showed that internal locus of control and risk tolerance have a significant positive effect to investment decision making, while the risk perception has a negative effect is not significant to investment decision making.
