Abstract
Investment is an important activity in managing the finance so that the money is not wasted and well-planned. The investment decision based on the risk and return, the investors often influenced by some factors which can led the investors to take decisions away from the rational assumption. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of financial literacy, overconfidence and risk tolerance on investment decision making of Sidoarjo’s society. The sample of this study is the investor in the Sidoarjo’s society. This study used the survey methods by distributing the questionnaires to 102 respondents which are appropriate with the criteria. The sampling technique used the purposive, convenience, and snowball sampling method based on the total family income at least IDR 4.000.000 per month. By using descriptive analysis and multiple regression analysis (MRA), the result of this study showed that only the overconfidence have significant effect on investment decision making, but the financial literacy and risk tolerance have no significant to investment decision making. Key Words : Invesment Decision Making, Financial Literacy, Overconfidence, and Risk Tolerance.
