Abstract

This study aimed to determine and analyze the influence of liquidity, leverage, sales growth and firm size against financial distress. Financial distress as dependent variable measured by interest coverage ratio. The independent variables in this study measured by current ratio, debt equity ratio, sales growth ratio, and Ln total assets. This research used quantitative methods. The population in this study is manufacturing company in the chemical and basic industry sectors listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2012-2016. Based on purposive sampling method, acquired 32 companies that the research sample. The data used is secondary data obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange for manufacturing company in the chemical and basic industry sectors in 2012-2016. Data analysis technique used is logistic regression analysis. The result showed that leverage had a significant effect on the financial distress, while liquidity, sales growth and firm size does not have a significant effect on the financial distress.
