Abstract
Stock split announcement is used a basic in making investment decision by investor. This research aim to know difference between before and after the stock split stock price and trading volume (TVA). This population there are all companies listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange that stock-split in 2006-2010, while the samples of 34 firms by using purposive sampling method and using 20 days event windows and analyzed with paired samples t test. Result found that the analysis with a significance level of 0.05 can be seen that stock return showa the results of the p-value (0.085) ≥ α (0.05) which means that Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected, or there is no difference between before the stock split stock return and stock return after the stock split. In stock trading volume, the result is a p-value (0.318) ≥ α (0.05) which means that Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected, or there is no difference between before the volume of stock trading before and after the stock split.
