Abstract
Bank credibility could be seen from its financial performance. Bank Muamalat Indonesia and Bank Syariah Mandiri is a banking company which has been leading the Islamic banking market in Indonesia. This research aims to compare financial performance between Bank Muamalat Indonesia and Bank Syariah Mandiri during the period 2008 – 2010. Analysis based on aspects of the bank's calculation of the level of health that includes KPMM representing Capital, KAP representing assets, NOM representing earnings, and STM is representing liquidity. This research is a descriptive comparison. The data used are secondary data in the form of publication financial statements through www.bi.go.id. Result from this research from financial performances Bank Muamalat during the period 2008-2010. Capital and Assets ratio seen good enough, while in Earnings ratio is very good, because always acquiring a first rank. And the lowest result is liquidty ratio acquiring in rank four. And Financial performance on Syariah Mandiri Bank during the period 2008 – 2010 seen by Capital and Earnings ratio is very good. While in Assets and Liquidity ratio is very weak. In the whole performance, Bank Syariah Mandiri is better than Bank Muamalat Indonesia Keywords: Bank Muamalat Indonesia, Bank Syariah Mandiri, Financial Performance.
