Abstract
The number of telecommunication companies in Indonesia and Singapore increase in every years. The current study investigates financial performance profile of Telecommunication companies both this country. This study that extends Machfoedz’s (1999) study uses four indicators to asses company financial performance : very good, good, poor and very poor. Company’s performance is assessed in regard to four factors : liquidity, solvency, total profitability and internal profitability. Data of Telecommunication companies from two members of ASEAN countries for year 2008, 2009 and 2010 are used. Paired sample t-test is performed to assesess four level of company’s financial performance both of this country of ASEAN. The result of company in this two countries level suggest (1) good solvency. (2) not good enough for external profitability and internal profitability in Singapore (3) very good internal profitability in Indonesia . Unfortunately, liquidity in Indonesia shows a poor performance. In addition, the analysis on each country indicate mixed results. Finally, the result of this study can be used by government in each country to formulate supportive environment and policy for Telecommunication companies.
