Abstract
soundness of banks is the result of evaluation of various aspects affecting the performance of the bank. The differences between syariah banks with Syariah business units on the independence issue will make a difference in the soundness of a bank. Based on these this Study examined the health level of Syariah Banks and Syariah business units. The analytical method used is CAMELS. Research variables used in the analysis of camels which is variables KPMM, KAP, NOM, and STM. Samples taken from Bank Indonesia over the internet. Number of samples for Syariah bank are 5 Banks, while for Syariah business Banks there are 12 Banks. Period time of research are 2009-2010. Hypothesis test used test difference mann - whitney test. The results of this study is that there are no significant differences with Syariah banks soundness of Syariah business unit, financial performance of syariah banks and syariah business units as a whole pertains the goodness.. Each variable there is a difference but can not be said to differ significantly. This study also examines the health of each with a ranking value set by Bank Indonesia.
