Abstract
In the era of globalization, competition for the perpetrators of the corporate world including cooperatives and small to medium businesses are increasingly tight. The rivalry caused by technological advances and an economy that is growing by leaps and bounds. It makes an organization required to always perform a wide variety of businesses that pay attention to the progress of information technology and can compete for its business stay afloat. This issue led to a business entity in the form of cooperatives to the utilization of information systems technology on his business activities. So do this research aims to find out how far the application of accounting information system capable of improving internal control in cooperative, held an evaluation and improvement of accounting information system and internal control systems which exist in cooperatives, and the extent to which effective control systems can be applied in a cooperative.Using qualitative descriptive method in which data is collected in the form of information obtained directly from the resource person then presented in the report that systematic and compare between theories and facts happening in research objects. So that the results obtained and the General control applications on the system information used by Koperasi Karyawan Keluarga Besar Petrokimia Gresik (K3PG) has run very well, so as to support the activities of the organization in a cooperative.As for the inferences that can be drawn from this study, the researchers succeeded in exploring the internal control is intact and the application of internal control in General in Koperasi Karyawan Keluarga Besar Petrokimia Gresik (K3PG) can be said quite good implementation. On the basis of early researcher of answer interview questions (case study protocol) with related theory, that the control system of accounting information in Koperasi Karyawan Keluarga Besar Petrokimia Gresik (K3PG) already applied optimally.
