Abstract

The purpose of this study to know external and internal factors which influence profitability in Islamic bank. The population in this study are 11 Islamic bank. Data used in this research were obtained from Bank Indonesia during the period of 2011 to 2014. In this case, external factors included Gross Domestic product (PDB), inflation sensitivity, interest rate sensitivity, and the internal factors included DPK, CAR, NPF and FDR which are considered to have an influence on the profitability of Islamic banks. Data analysis methods used in the study is multiple linear regression analysis. The result of this study showed that the DPK, CAR, and NPF has a significant level less than 0.05. While for GDP, inflation sensitivity, interest rate sensitivity and FDR has significant levels more than 0.05. The conclusion of this study, there are 3 factors that influence the profitability of Islamic bank, that are DPK, CAR, and NPF. The three variables have influence to profitability because DPK is the primary source of funds used to financing by banks. CAR is used to measure the capital owned by banks, and NPF is level Non performing loans by banks, while NPF is in the high level the banks health is not good.
