Abstract

Dividend policy to the attention of many parties such as shareholders, creditors, or other external parties who have an interest from the information issued by the company. Through this policy the company provides most of net profit to shareholders in cash. The decision to determine how the gains in order to be distributed to shareholders and how much cash to be reinvested by the company, this is called the dividend policy. Dividend policy can not be separated from the profitability for dividend distribution is highly dependent on the profitability of the company. Profitability is the company's ability to generate profit (profit) maximum when running operations. This study aimed to examine the effect of profitability, debt policy and dividend policy of the sales growth in the service industry companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2011-2015. The sample used by 172 companies or 43 companies per year. The results of this study are profitability is not significant to the dividend policy, while for variable debt policy and sales growth shows the results of a negative effect on dividend policy.
