Abstract
This study aimed to examine empirically the effect of Managerial Ownership and Institutional Ownership in the firm value listed in BEI, period used in the study were 7 (seven) years, starting from 2009 until 2015. This study uses quantitative method. The sample in this study was obtaining purposive sampling method. Based on the existing criteria are 346 companies were selected as sample. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regressions. The result also show that, managerial ownership and Institutional ownership significant negative effect on the firm value. The limitation in this study was the test of R2 with a value of 0,301 or 30,1 percent adjusted R square and the rest is explained by other variables outside the model. For the future research is expected to add an independent variable that adjusted R square is not small and is able to explain the dependent variable.
