Abstract
This study was conducted to prove the weather effect on stock returns in the LQ-45. In this study the weather is distinguished by hot weather and rainy weather were measured using the average temperature. The sample in this study using the methods of monitoring, because stock returns and the researchers monitored the weather on the BMKG. The sample consisted of 42 company stocks included in the LQ-45 index which is active in the period of 2015, and the samples taken from the weather in BMKG statistical data from central Jakarta. Statistical method used to test the hypothesis is simple regression analysis and independent samples t-test were processed with SPSS 20. The results showed that there was a weather effect on stock returns in the LQ-45, and there are differences in stock returns in hot weather and rainy weather. Keywords: return stocks and weather
