Abstract
This study aimed to determine the effect of corporate governance and financial leverage on firm value and firm size as a control variable in companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange. The population used in this study is a manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2008 - 2012, the total sample obtained in this study were 40 observations. The technical analysis of this research is multiple regressions linear. Statistical analyses used include descriptive statistical analysis, testing normality test, the test model accuracy and significance test. The results of this study indicate that the size of the board of commissioners, the number of audit committee, managerial ownership and financial leverage on firm value and firm size as a control variable is said to fit. Based on the t test variable size of the board of commissioners and number of committees have a significant effect on firm value. The firm size as control variables also show a significant effect on the value of the company and strengthen the relationship size of the board of commissioners and the number of audit committees. Application of corporate governance is believed to increase the company's value and can increase the added value for our shareholders. For further research is expected to add to the research variables, so it can be seen the other variables that will likely give better results.
