Abstract
The rise of the digital era and modernization has led to cultural shifts, causing traditional games to be increasingly sidelined by modern games among children, including in the city of Surabaya. This research aims to design an educational medium specifically a series of interactive visual encyclopedia books about traditional games at Kampoeng Dolanan Surabaya integrated with Augmented Reality (AR) technology. Employing a descriptive qualitative method, the design combines documentary photography, decorative illustrations, infographics, and non-conventional layouts based on the "Playful Discovery" concept. The project resulted in a series of interactive books categorized into physical movement, strategy/thinking, and social/group activities, all supported by AR features to provide a more tangible learning experience. This medium is intended to serve as both an educational tool and a means of preserving local cultural heritage, making it more appealing to the younger generation in the digital age.
