Abstract

This study aims to describe the procedure for providing microfinance at PT Pegadaian UPC Lakarsantri, identify the requirements that must be fulfilled by customers, analyze the suitability of implementation with the company's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and identify obstacles encountered during the process. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The research was conducted at PT Pegadaian UPC Lakarsantri during April–July 2026. Data were obtained from primary and secondary sources through semi-structured interviews, direct observation, and documentation. Data analysis consisted of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion and verification. The results show that the microfinance process is implemented systematically, beginning with the submission of an application, examination of administrative documents, feasibility analysis, field survey and verification, financing approval, signing of the financing agreement, disbursement, and installment payment and monitoring. The required documents include identity documents, family card, taxpayer identification number according to financing provisions, business legality documents, collateral documents according to the product, and supporting documents for applicants who do not have a business. The implementation is considered consistent with the company's procedures and generally aligned with the stages of financing in financial institutions. Obstacles include incomplete documents, applicants' limited understanding of requirements, and applicants who do not meet feasibility criteria. Officers address these obstacles through explanations, document verification, assistance in completing requirements, and prudent financing analysis.
