Abstract
This study aims to investigate the influence of external factor to risk perception and risk attitude of investors in Surabaya. External factors in this study consists of the availability of information and familiarity. Samples used in this study are investors who invest their money in stocks, bonds, and mutual funds. The sampling technique is non-probability sampling or non-random sampling methods. The method of analysis in this study was GSCA to identification Goodness of Fit Test and Structural Models and test the hypothesis.The result of the study found that external factors (availability of information and familiarity) have no significant effect on risk perception and risk attitude. The perception of risk also has not influence to risk attitude, because it’s may be the investor not really considering risk when they invest in the capital market instead of the return. Key Word : Risk Perception, Risk Attitude, Familiarity, Information.
