Abstract

This research focuses on the design and implementation of an office electrical monitoring system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) applied at PT. PGAS Telekomunikasi Nusantara RO JABATIM. The system was developed to provide real-time information on electrical conditions, including voltage, current, power, and electrical energy consumption. In addition, load control features such as remote relay operation and current limit control were implemented to support energy efficiency in office environments. The system was developed using the prototyping method by integrating hardware components, namely the ESP32 microcontroller and the PZEM-004T sensor, with a mobile application built using the Flutter framework and Firebase as the cloud-based backend service. System testing was conducted on three electrical lines protected by MCB 1, MCB 2, and MCB 3 under peak load conditions to evaluate performance under actual operational scenarios. The test results indicate that voltage measurements achieved very high accuracy, with average accuracy values exceeding 99% across all tested lines. Current measurement accuracy varied depending on load characteristics, with average accuracy values of 76.42% for MCB 1, 86.90% for MCB 2, and 96.65% for MCB 3. Furthermore, power calculation results demonstrated accuracy levels above 92% with relatively low error values. Quality of Service and functional testing confirmed that data communication was stable and that all system features operated as intended. Keywords: Internet of Things, electrical power monitoring, ESP32, PZEM-004T, energy monitoring system, energy efficiency.
