Abstract
The aim of this study is to analyze the perfomance of the islamic banks before and after the global crisis using camels. The study involved three banks selected from Indonesian banking directory using purposive sampling method. From the directory, the researcher also collected the quarterly financial statements of the samples banks from 2005 through 2012. A number of statistical tools were used for data analyses including the data normality test, the Mann- Whitney U test, and the paired t-test. Paired T - Test suggested that the ratio of capital ratio of asset quality, and earnings, there is no significant difference in the financial performance of Islamic banking before and after the global crisis while liquidity ratios indicate that there are significant differences in the financial performance of Islamic banking before and after the global crisis.
