Abstract

Mobile banking or usually called or known to the public by the abbreviation Mbanking is a facility provided by banks to make it easier for users to carry out banking transactions only through cellphones or smartphones. Consumptive behavior is an individual's act as a consumer to buy, use or consume goods or services excessively, irrationally, causing waste. Student is a term for someone who is studying at a university, high school, or academy. The purpose of this study is to find out the advantages and disadvantages of mobile banking, the factors and impacts of consumptive behavior, the relationship between mobile banking and consumptive behavior, the role of mobile banking in encouraging student consumptive behavior. Paperusila Gate area. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach where data collection does not use statistics but uses observations and questionnaires. Based on the results of the questionnaire research, an average score of 4.11 was obtained in the response to the role of mobile banking and consumptive behavior, indicating that the easy use of mobile banking makes users become individuals who often make transactions through mobile banking and it makes individuals become individuals who behave consumptively.
