Abstract
Dividend policy is an integral part of the company’s funding decisions. An optimal dividend policy is required because it can create a balance between dividends and current growth in the next period. This research aims to obtain empirical evidence on the effect of free cash flow and leverage on dividend policy with company size as moderation on companies going public mining sector. This research is a descriptive statistic research with quantitative methods. The population of this research is a public go company in the mining sector for the period 2016-2020. This research sample uses purposive sampling method and the data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. Based on the purposive sampling method, the total sample is 40 samples. The results of this research show that free cash flow has a positive effect on dividend policy and company size as moderation is able to strengthen free cash flow on dividend policy, while leverage has a negatively effect on dividend policy and company size as moderation is able to weaken leverage on dividend policy.
