Abstract
This objective is to examine the effect of profitability (ROE), firm size (SIZE) and institutional ownership (KI) on the use of corporate social responsibility (CSR) simultaneously or partially. This study uses a sample of 9 basic materials sector companies with a period of five years, namely 2016-2020. The sampling method used is purposive sampling and the analytical technique used is Multiple Linear Regression. The results of this study indicate that profitability has a negative and insignificant effect on CSR, company size has no significant positive effect on CSR, and institutional ownership has a significant negative effect on CSR.
