Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of profitability, liquidity, asset growth, company size, sales growth and business risk on the capital structure of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange 2015-2019. This study uses a quantitative approach. Data collection technique used in this research is the documentation method, namely by collect data from complete financial reports that have been published by companies through the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) www.idx.co.id. This research uses purposive sampling method in the determination sample with 75 sample companies. The analysis technique was performed using Multiple regression analysis is assisted by the SPSS program. The results show that simultaneously profitability, liquidity, asset growth, company size, sales growth, and business risk have a significant effect on the capital structure of manufacturing companies listed on the IDX. Partially, profitability has no significant effect on capital structure, liquidity has a significant negative effect on capital structure, asset growth has no significant effect on capital structure, firm size has no significant effect on capital structure, sales growth has no significant effect on capital structure, business risk has no significant effect to the capital structure.
