Abstract
Underpricingis a situation wherethe stockpriceat the time ofinitial public offeringlower thanthe stock priceinthe secondarymarket. This studyaimed toanalyze the factorsthatimpact underpricing. The variables studiedin cludeunder writer reputation, firm size, firm age, return on investment, financial leverage, earnings per share. The statistical methodusedin this studyis multiple regression analysis. Data usedin this research issecondary data byusing purposive sampling method. Using the data from60companies thatmade initial public offeringin Indonesian Stock Exchange period 2009-2013. The resultsshowedthat theunderwriter reputation, size ofcompany, firm age, return on investment, financial leverage, earningpersharedidn’t significantly effect onunderpricing. This study proves that investorsuse information outside of the companyas aninvestmentconsideration.
