Abstract
In the current era of globalization, companies are required to pay attention to financial performance. That is because many new competitors have sprung up. The purpose of this study was to examine and analyze the effect of financial performance (Current Ratio, Debt to equity ratio, Total Asset Turnover, and Net Profit Margin) on earnings changes in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the 2014-2018 periods. The sample used in this study was 57 manufacturing companies. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling method, and the analysis technique used was classic assumptions and multiple linear regressions. The results of this study indicate that simultaneously the independent variable significantly influences the dependent variable. But partially, the Current Ratio and Debt to equity ratio have no significant positive effect on earnings changes, while the Total Asset Turnover and Net Profit Margin ratios have a significant positive effect on earnings changes in manufacturing companies registered on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.
