Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of financial knowledge, financial experience and income on family financial behavior. the sample in this study were 150 respondents of family financial decision makers in the city of Surabaya. The method of sampling used in this study uses purposive sampling sampling. the analysis technique in this study uses the Structural Equation Model (SEM). The results of this study indicate that financial knowledge has no direct effect, financial experience and income have a significant positive effect on family financial behavior and financial knowledge has a significant negative effect by mediating external locus of control on family financial behavior.
