Abstract
The objective of the study is to the effect of financial performance on corporate value using Good Corporate Governance as a moderating variable in mining companies. Financial performance is measured using ROA, CE and DER and corporate value is measured using Price to Book Value (PBV). The object of this study is mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2013-2018. The sampling techniqueuses purposive sampling. The research sample of 33 companies with 118 observations. Data analysis techniques were performed using statistical methods through multiple linier regression analysis. The results of the study showed that ROA partially has a significant positive effect on corporate value, but DER partially has a significant negative effect on corporate value. CR partially has a non-significant negative effect on corporate value. The next result shows that the board of commissioners is able to strengthen the relationship of ROA to the corporate value and the independent commissioner is not able to strengthen the relationship of ROA to the corporate value. The implication of this research for investor is to consider profitability and leverage rations before buying share in mining companies.
