Abstract
In the era of globalization, the economy grows and develops a wide range of financial institutions. One among the financial institutions that seem to be a big role in the economy is the financial institution. Capital is essential and principal in a bank. Capital factor is very important in running the operations of the bank and to support all the needs, the quality of management in the management of banking activities will get the expected profit rate. The purpose of this research is to examine whether the effect of Return on Assets (ROA) and net profit margin (NPM) of the Capital Adequacy Ratio at commercial banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sample in this study is a commercial bank that is listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange with a study period from 2009 to 2013 samples were selected by purposive sampling method in order to obtain 28 samples of commercial banks. Data was collected using secondary data from commercial banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The analysis technique used in this study is multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that simultaneous test (F test) ROA and NPM significant effect on Capital Adequacy Ratio. In the t test, ROA and NPM significant effect on Capital Adequacy Ratio.
