Abstract
The aims of this study is to determine the factors that influencing the students in choosing a career as a public accountant and non- public accountant. The factors that influencing the selection of a career in this study are an intrinsic value, financial rewards, working environment, professional recognition, professional training, labor market considerations, and personality. The Data collection is done by distributing questionnaire to S1 accounting’s students in Surabaya such as Airlangga University, UPN Veteran, STIE Perbanas, and STIESIA. Data analysis techniques in this study is using logistic regression with SPSS. The results obtained give result that the financial rewards, working environment, professional recognition, professional training, and personality does not affect the career choice. While the intrinsic value and labor market considerations significantly influencing career choice. Key words : Career Choice, Public Accountant, Non – Public Accountant, Accounting Students.
