Abstract
Bank is a financial institution that has a strategic role in developing the national economy. Lending to the public is a key activity for the bank. However, credit is also a big risk for the bank. The decline in the ability of the debtor shall pay the one factor contributing to the problem loans or called by non-performing loans (NPL). Bank Jatimbranch Sampangin the last 3 years always able to maintain the level of net NPL ratio below 4 percent. Therefore, the authors are interested to know the stages of NPL reduction process. The research method used is descriptive method. Based on research showing that the NPL reduction process steps will be undertaken in Bank Jatimbranch Sampang have different stages in accordance with the type of loans. Credit analysis have much to learn by looking for information about cases on the criteria of what efforts the risk and minimal Credit Analysis has two companion in analyzing business and mortgage borrowers.
