Abstract

Accounting information system based on computer has an important role for business especially in reatail sector. Then the existence of such a system is expected to improve the quality of customer service, provide timeliness in the presentation of information , improve data accuracy and data processing becomes faster. This study aim to determine the effect of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) on accounting information system based on computer at Point of Sale system Indomaret in Jombang. The Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) approach is consist of: perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, attitude usage, behavioral intention and accounting information system basen as an additional variable. The method of data collection is done by distributing questionnaires by convenience sampeling technique to 56 responden consisting of 57 Indomaret in Jombang. The responden in this study are the cashier officer in Indomaret. The technique of data analysis used is the SEM on SPSS 16 software. The finding of this study showed: (1) perceived ease of use have significant positive impact on perception toward usefulness, (2) perceived ease of use have a significant positive impact toward attitude usage, (3) perceived usefulness have a significant positive impact toward attitude usage, (4) perceived usefulness have a significant impact toward behavioral intention, (5) attitude usage have a significant positive impact toward behavioral intention, (6) behavioral intention have a significant positive impact toward accounting information system based on computer. In which the use of accounting information system based on computer for sales transaction very helpful for all transaction by cashier. Key words: Accounting information system based on computer, TAM approach.
