Abstract
The firm value is the price that is willing to be paid by prospective buyers if the company is sold. Firm value can be assessed from a stable stock price and experience a long-term increase. This study aims to examine whether there is an influence of Modal Intelektual (VAICTM) on the firm value (PBV) of the automotive sector listed on the IDX by mediating financial performance (ROA) as an intervening variable. The subject of this study uses automotive sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2012-2017. The sampling technique used in this study is non-probability sampling by sampling using saturated sampling. The data analysis technique used in this study is the classic assumption test, multiple linear regression and sobel test (path analysis). The results of the t test show model 1 that that Modal Intelektual has a significant positive effect on financial performance. In model 2 shows that Modal Intelektual has a significant positive effect on firm value. The results of the sobel tests show that financial performance is not able to mediate the relationship between Modal Intelektual and the value of the company Keyword : Firm value, Modal Intelektual, financial performance
