Abstract
Retirement is a condition when someone stopped being employee because they already on the old ages limit or the other reason. Everyone wants to live a prosperous when retired. It is related to how they manage their financial or they financial management attitude. A good financial attitude begins with applying a good financial behavior such like savings or fund’s allocation. This study’s aim is to determine the affect of demographic factors (age, gender, occupation, education and income) and family’s financial management attitudes towards retirement planning. There are 198 peoples becomes respondents of this study with criteria they are live in Gresik and Surabaya, they are married and have minimum income of four million Rupiah per month. By using t-test, ANOVA, and SEM-PLS analysis the results found that demographic factors are gender, age, education, and employment had no significant effect on retirement planning. However, the results of research on income and family financial management attitudes have a significant effect on retirement planning.
