Abstract

The development of country especially in economic sector could be defined by measure the level of capital market gain, and the firms could attract the investor’s attentions by the dividend. Dividend Policy is the firm’s policy to distribute the revenue to investors. Consumer goods industry sector have the highest average of dividend payout ratio during 2008-2011. This study aims to analyze the influence of liquidity, free cash flow, firm size, and life cycle toward the dividend policy of consumer goods industry at Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) in 2011-2014 period. Population of this study is consumer goods industry sector listed on BEI during 2011–2014 and used 44 samples. This study used multiple regression analysis technique using SPSS and the data were examined using normality test. The result shows that: 1) liquidity has negative and insignificant relation toward dividend policy, 2) free cash flow has negative and significant relation toward dividend policy, 3) firm size has negative and insignificant relation toward dividend policy, and 4) life cycle has positive and significant relation toward dividend policy.
