Abstract

Executive compensation is very interesting to study more in as many disputes resulting from administration of executive compensation. Some argue that the compensation received by executives who are high not in accordance with the company's performance is generated, so that it becomes a conflict, especially for interested parties. Therefore, the compensation system should be designed to reward employees and management in promoting your company or contributing to the achievement of corporate goals. One problem is the provision of compensation does not match the expectations of its own board of directors and commissioners. Many Indonesian companies are currently giving attention to executive compensation.This study aims to determine the size of the company and the performance of the company formulated by return on assets, return on equity, and the net effect on the profit margins of executive compensation. the population used manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange period 2013-2015, and the sample used is the annual report of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange 2013-2015 period. The total sample is 189 samples from 63 companies. the results of this study are the size of the company and the return on assets has positive influence on executive compensation, while the return on equity and net profit margins had no effect on executive compensation. Key words: executive compensation, company size, return on assets, return on equity, and net profit margin.
