Abstract
This study aimed to determine the effect of financial performance as measured by the variable return on investment, economic value added and operating leverage on stock returns in real estate and property companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange with years of research from 2009 to 2012. The sample used in this study are 22 real estate companies and property during the four-year study period. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis, and statistical analysis using Partial Least Square (PLS).The result show that the financial performance with indicators return on investment, economic value added and operating leverage significant effect on stock returns on real estate companies and property. This may imply that companies with good financial performance can help boost investor confidence in the company's going concern and return the shares to be granted.
