Abstract
Capital structure, growth and profitability have been identified as factor that influence firm value. However, past studies have not examined the issue of why the capital structure and growth may influence the firm value. This study extends prior studies to further understands.The indirect between capital structure and growth to firm value through the mediating rule of firm profitability. This study uses time series method and for a sample this study uses 110 manufacturing firm in indonesia stock exchange during 2008 -2011. Variable used is capital structure and growth as independent variabel, firm value as dependent varieble, and profitability as mediating variabel This study finds that capital structure relates positively with firm value. and finds the significants role of profitability on the ralationship between capital structur and firm value. This study also find that growth relates not positively with firm value and find not significant role of profitability between on the relationship between growth and firm value. the result of the study also contribute to understanding of the role of the firm profitability in influencing the impact of capital struktur and growth on the firm value. Key words: Capital structure, growth, profitability, firm value.
