Abstract

“This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy, investment knowledge, and application ease on Generation Z's interest in online stock investing. In addition, this study examines the extent to which these variables play a role in shaping investment intentions among young people, particularly students in the Surabaya area. The research used a quantitative approach with primary data obtained through a questionnaire distributed to 75 respondents. The data analysis technique applied was Structural Equation Modeling with a Partial Least Squares (SEM PLS) approach using SmartPLS software. The results show that, partially, financial literacy has a positive and significant effect on Generation Z's interest in investing. This indicates that a good understanding of financial management and risk is the main foundation for individuals to start investing. However, different results were found for the variables of investment knowledge and ease of use, which showed no significant effect on investment interest. The theoretical knowledge possessed by students and the ease of use offered by current online investment applications are not yet strong enough to trigger investment interest if not accompanied by adequate financial readiness and literacy. As digital natives, Generation Z tends to consider technological convenience as a minimum standard, rather than a major attraction in making investment decisions. ” Keywords: Financial Literacy, Investment Knowledge, Application Ease, Generation Z Investment Interest
