Abstract

Waste bank management is generally still carried out manually, which potentially leads to difficulties in recording customer data, waste deposit transactions, and savings balance management. This condition is also experienced by the Cinta Medokan Ayu Waste Bank, where data and transaction management processes have not been systematically integrated. This study aims to design and develop a web-based Waste Bank Information System for Cinta Medokan Ayu to support structured and well-documented data and transaction management. The system was developed using the Laravel framework with a MySQL database and implemented the Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture. The system is equipped with a QR Code-based validation feature on the customer membership card as a transaction authentication mechanism for balance redemption, as well as an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based chatbot feature utilized as a descriptive data analysis tool for administrators. System testing was conducted using the Black Box Testing method, while usability evaluation employed the System Usability Scale (SUS) involving 20 respondents consisting of administrators, officers, and customers. The SUS evaluation results indicate an average score of 70.13, which falls into the “Good” category, suggesting that the system has an adequate level of usability, is well accepted by users, and is capable of supporting administrative management and data analysis activities at the Cinta Medokan Ayu Waste Bank more effectively.
