Abstract
Financial behavior is one of the key factors in maintaining individual economic stability. This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy, income level, and parents' socioeconomic status on Generation Z's financial behavior, with self-control as a variable interventing. The sample consists of Generation Z individuals aged 17 to 27 years who are currently employed and reside in Sidoarjo and Surabaya. The sampling technique used is Purposive Sampling. The analysis method applied in this study is the SEM-PLS (Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Squares) technique. This research adopts a quantitative approach. The data used is primary data, collected through questionnaires in Google Form format, which were distributed via social media. The findings indicate that financial literacy and income level do not influence financial behavior, whereas parents' socioeconomic status has a significant negative effect. Furthermore, self-control does not mediate the relationship between financial literacy and parents' socioeconomic status on financial behavior; however, self-control successfully mediates the relationship between income level and financial behavior. Keywords: financial behavior, financial literacy, income level, parents' socioeconomic status, self-control
