Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of the Bandwagon Effect, Financial Literacy, Financial Efficacy, and Investment Returns on Students' Interest in Investing in Crypto Currency. This research uses a quantitative approach with the Partial Least Square (PLS) method. Primary data was obtained by distributing questionnaires to students in the eastern part of Surabaya, with a total of 100 respondents. The research results show that the Bandwagon Effect and Financial Literacy have a positive and significant influence on student investment interest. Investment Returns also have a positive, but not significant, influence on investment interest. Meanwhile, Financial Efficacy does not have a significant influence on Students' Interest in Investing in Crypto Currency. This research provides a theoretical contribution to the development of the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) in the context of crypto investment among students. From a practical side, the results of this research can be used by educational institutions to increase student financial literacy, as well as provide insight to crypto investment platforms in developing more effective marketing strategies.
