Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of job satisfaction on employee performance as mediated by quiet quitting and turnover intentions in generation Z employees in companies operating in East Java. In the context of an increasingly competitive world of work, job satisfaction is an important factor that influences employee performance. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method, where data is collected through questionnaires distributed to 200 respondents who are generation Z employees. The results of the research show that job satisfaction has a significant positive influence on employee performance. Apart from that, job satisfaction also has a negative effect on quiet quitting behavior, which in turn has a positive effect on turnover intentions. This research found that employees who feel satisfied with their jobs tend to have better performance and engage in less quiet quitting behavior. Conversely, employees who experience job dissatisfaction are more likely to consider leaving the company. These findings provide important insights for company management in efforts to increase employee job satisfaction, which in turn can improve performance and reduce turnover rates. It is hoped that this research can become a reference for further research in the field of human resource management, especially related to generation Z employees.
