Abstract

This study aims to examine what factors can affect accounting information systems, especially in BPRs in Sidoarjo. Based on previous studies, there are four factors that affect accounting information systems, namely user involvement in the information system development process, personal technical capabilities of AIS users, AIS user training and education programs, and top management support. This study amounted to 100 respondents with criteria aged 20 years and over, with a length of time using AIS of at least 2.5 years, where the sampling technique used was purposive sampling. This study reveals that user involvement, personal technical skills, training programs, and top management support have a significant positive effect on accounting information systems in BPR Sidoarjo. User involvement ensures the system is more in line with needs, personal technical skills increase the effectiveness of system use, training programs improve operations, and top management support strengthens resources and commitment to system development. These four variables together improve the quality and efficiency of accounting information systems. Keywords : Accounting information Systems, User involvement in the information system development process, Personal technical capabilities of AIS users, AIS user training and education programs, top management support
