Abstract

The types of employees in government agencies are Civil Servants (PNS) and PPPK. There are also employees who have the status of Non-Permanent Employees who are often referred to PPNPN who carry out daily tasks at organization, including the Minis-try of ATR/BPN. Even though all of them are government employees, the compensation received, the motivation and organizational commitment of PPNPN are different from those of PNS and PPPK. This research aims to analyze the role of organizational com-mitment as a mediator of the relationship between compensation, motivation and per-formance of PPNPN at the Ministry of ATR/BPN Data Center with a sample of 48 em-ployees using a saturated sampling technique. The analysis technique used is SEM-PLS which is assisted by the WarpPLS 8.0 program. Data collection in this research used a questionnaire distributed via Google Form. The results of the analysis show that com-pensation has no significant effect on employee performance, motivation and organiza-tional commitment have a significant positive effect on employee performance, compen-sation and motivation have a significant positive effect on organizational commitment, organizational commitment significantly mediates the effect between compensation and employee performance, organizational commitment significantly mediates the influence between motivation and employee performance. Agencies can strive to increase organiza-tional commitment and motivation for PPNPN to improve PPNPN performance.
