Abstract
PT XYZ is one of the world's leading international shipping service providers. Very competitive competition requires companies to try harder in order to always survive in this industry. Improving service performance and process is an important thing to pay attention to. This study aims to analyze the effect of compensation and employee status on employee performance at PT XYZ with work motivation as a mediating variable. This research data was obtained from the results of questionnaires filled out directly by employees of PT XYZ Surabaya Branch which have criteria at least having worked for 3 months for nonpermanent/ contracted employees and at least 1 year for permanent employees. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS).
